The 2022 season proved to be a good year for cross country (XC) flying in the Wessex region. A total of 167 flights were entered by 23 pilots across 83 different days. Several site records were broken, including Pete Chalmers flying 72.9 km from Bell and Adrian Coombe flying 71.7 km from Cowdown on his way to winning the 2022 Wessex XC league.
