Report from Portland West

   
The weather did not look promising to start but by 1030 we were in the air at PW, and it lasted most of the daylight hours with some good cliff soaring runs and the odd gentle sea thermals. John W from Condors had his maiden flight and many more Pilots (10) turned up during the day to explore the cliffs and enjoy some pleasant sunshine.

Report from Portland West

  

1000hrs start with Gary P, too strong at the top so off to the lower undercliff to Take Off.

Pleasant soaring and watching the German Helicopter Pilots being put through their paces.

Darren G arrived to enjoy his Maiden Flight and was suitably impressed, enough to buy me a coffee and cake at the "Heights Motel".

Report from Ringstead

 

A scratchy start that soon came good. Flyable for three hours and chilly. Sea thermals on the cliffs allowing good height gains on occasion to 1000' ATO, (304.8metres). A goodly number of Pilots and a lonesome "Hangie"(Wayne)
