Report from Maiden Castle
A pleasant interlude in this unrelenting rainy season.

Report from Ringstead
A dull start to the day but thought I noticed a chance for a local flight.
It didn't look at all pleasant 50/50 cloud cover and a mixture of grey and dark grey but it was a flyable strength. I boated about in some nifty bits on the ridge and approached Point "A" on the cliffs but the tails started to show below some of the clouds and I scurried back to T.O landed and it started to spit with rain. So off home for some lunch. Checked the Portland Harbour Station and saw a gap in the clouds so back for another go.
Lifty and about 12mph and off to the cliffs for a pleasant hour before it started to strengthen with even more lift. ( big clue there ). Big ears to get back to T.O. and a safe landing. The wind had picked up to in excess of 22mph.. Messages were in from Southbourne and Eype so others had ventured out.
