Report from Portland West
After hearing reports of track difficulties at Bell and light wind. I decided to cross the Causeway to the Island where things need to be kept weird (Look for the signs on car bumpers).
So, would it work? A couple of Pilots called and were hopeful of flying here for the first time. I took off after briefing them and had a soar along the rugged cliffs for all of 10 mins before the wind dropped. Oh Dear!. Terry came down and drove me back up to the Car Park. Tim was waiting at T.O. and we had a chinwag and within short time it was good enough to enjoy some cliff soaring in the sunshine. Taking off on the Spur proved interesting as per normal.
After about 50 mins I could feel the wind drop and felt it safer to head for the Promenade. All down safe and a walk to the bus stop for a 10 min wait back to Car Park. Photos were coming in from Ringstead but it was getting dimmer by the minute so oft home for a warming cuppa.

Report from Portland West
Felt stronger than it was. 4 of us enjoying a cold couple of hours in the grey with the odd glimpse of blue sky. The muzzle conditions seemed to be over Dorchester and further Inland. Still it was enjoyable with some tricks being undertaken Pilots flying upside down and backwards.
All in a days aviation.
