Report from Kimmeridge

A herald announced Kimmeridge to be flyable. So oft we jolly well went and met up at the Car Park for the walk from Sheeps Pen, I had forgotten what a long walk this was? However, with the Quarry Car Park being closed There was little choice.. There were 6 of us enjoying the thermals and staying up easily despite the sea surface in front being almost glassy. James B did very well for his maiden flight at this ,now infrequently used, Site.
If you haven't flown Kimmeridge add it to your to do list, often used as a Training Site in the past now just some regulars.. Glad I made the journey today.

Report from Bell Hill

A sunny day at Wessex's own hill, I counted more than 20 at one stage, they must all be furloughed? Pleasant thermals, with no cumulus around the hill, saw some in the far distance.
Plenty of Pilots enjoying the conditions and practising their thermalling. Dale A on his half price new Blacklight Thinking he was the only colourful wing in the sky, Paul M arrived with exactly the same.
All in all a pleasant day.

Report from Bell Hill

Oh what a day. Had to meet up at Bell to collect a Reserve. So many Pilots, not unexpected really considering 'lockdown'. No retrieve driver so contented myself boating about after a false start, not quite cloud base but 4000' was good enough.
Some went over the back with their partners chasing in vehicle pursuit.
Seb flew for the first time in ages as did a few others.
The new gates and parking area looked great, not too sure about all the horses though.
On my final launch I got hoisted and dumped ingloriously with my wing on the barbed wire, several tears to be repaired Hey Ho more ground handling required.
All in all many enjoyed good flying and the thermals were much sweeter higher up.
