Report from Ringstead

Overcast and very strong, this did not stop aviation taking place. Basically zero to hero conditions but some stuck it for nearly an hour. Cold fingers decided for me after 30 mins. Others determined to eke it until semi darkness.

Report from Portland West

Looked at forecasts and decided Fraggle Rock.
Oddly harbour Station showed reasonable strength and direction. But on T.O. it was up to 18mph. It was a "pick your moment" launch. Anyway it was upwards and onwards and out of white water but forward movement was fine and no need for bar.Late arrivals phoned it was 24mph on T.O. and it was a matter of using airtime to see how far forward and low we could go. It was cold and showed me the need for investing in a pair of heated gloves, Christmas is coming.
Always exciting at the Rock.Additional photos by Steve S

Report from Maiden Castle

A cold start to the day with varying forecasts. Westbury and Bell showing light yet the Coast more than 25mph.
I decided to stay local and headed to Maiden Castle. Met new Wessex Member Josh and also Jules, walked up and it felt flyable. I took off and they went back to fetch their kit.
Unusually smooth for MC with some thermic cycles coming through after 30 mins.
Plenty more arrived and the air was suddenly overcrowded.
It became too cold as I couldn't feel my fingers so took advantage of the fact that it had got a little lighter and landed.
All in all a pleasant start to December.
