Report from Ringstead

 
     
A little too late to enjoy the full run to Swanage, well done Sean & Tim. There was confusion over the Published Firing Times, please ensure you double check by ringing the Army Guard House on 01929404700/1.
As the wind was ever increasing it was time to launch and I had an hour in the company of a biplane. Several members enjoyed the conditions until they got very strong with some landing at the bottom.

Report from Dorset Coast Run

 
     
An early start at Dave's holiday home. It was brisk at 0930hrs and due to pick up.
After a fall (silly trip) and hand up I was first to test the air. It was fine and off we went. The plan was to make St Aldhelms Once across Lulworth Cove and Warbarrow Bay and then onto Gad Cliffs the Orographic appeared, past Broad Bench and almost onto Smedmore it was rough and with the threat of more Orographic it was time to head back via Ringstead and onto Redcliff got low over Osmington and not being fit enough for a long walk headed back to White Nothe and did the run again with Elvijs. Landed back at Dave's for a lift home, Happy Days.

Report from Jurassic Coast

   
Mayhem on T.O. on arrival , several Fire Engines and several Coast Guard vehicles to rescue a dog that had somehow managed to get on the Undercliff and been there for 2 days.Dog was fine A trip to Eype, for a change of scenery. WSW and fluctuating conditions, Some made it to Charmouth and back some landed out. Curtis once again taking off near Dogs Head. An odd day to say the least, but some flying was had.

Two days at Ding Dong and thermic cycles again. Does no one work, some nifty work in the bowl , keep your eyes peeled folks.Remember to turn the same way as everyone else. An enjoyable day for some.

A few messages from Bell , waited for more positivity, Ventured forth, on arrival 5 wings high and handsome and several on the ground waiting for the thermal to arrive. After an argument with a pesky bush and 30 minutes later I was airborne and thermalling. An hour later I landed and went home a happy bunny.

Report from Maiden Castle

 
     
An opportunity was seen and taken advantage of. The Mystic Castle proved a temptation we just could not resist.
Good for some not so good for others. Darren proved to be top of the stack. Good thermic activity providing lumpy conditions close to the Ramparts.

Report from Jurassic Coast

  
     
Several Wessex Members ventured to Eype for a slow start. However, lift conditions allowed for a sojourn down to Charmouth and back over West Bay to Cogden Beach then a return to Charmouth, what fun.
Two Pilots went down below Golden Cap bu undeterred climbed up and re-launched,
