Report from Ringstead

   
A frustrating day especially for myself but aviation did occur. It was good to see the Spitfires in action and some sailplanes Towed over the coast. Some lack of airmanship was observed because they did not read the SITE GUIDE.
Please whoever you are read the Site Guide, do not just turn up and fly when you know nothing about the Site.
Grant took a passenger up on the Tandem.

Report from the Jurassic Coast

   
A Wessex Posse had a worthwhile wait for the wind to come round. An enjoyable flight of 2 hrs down to Charmouth Golf Course with a low return for some? A couple of odd moments returning west over the river and approaching Golden Cap.
Nevertheless enjoyable, some did not get across Freshwater.An interesting landing on the main road by one, luckily no traffic at the time.

Another frustrating day at Whitehorse. Thermic cycles only with the sea like a mirror Up and down but good to see faces old and new. Lots of G/H in the sweltering heat.

It was worth the wait and the long walk, Although the wind was light some nice thermals came through 750' ATO was the best to be had a little bit of an explore but everyone enjoyed themselves. Pilots still turning up when I left and a French Pilot asking direction to T.O.

It was an early start but we still had to wait almost and before taking off.
Nearly 2 hours of flying down to Charmouth and back.
Congrats to Jacek for his first down to Charmouth.

Shame there were no ice creams. Nonetheless a good day westwards. Surprised by how few there were.
A good day by a Wessex Posse and fun was had by all.

A great day of thermalling a couple went XC and other did a Waypoint collection.
Good to be in the air on a reasonable day, many there.

We celebrated 'D Day' at Bell with a few Military Personnel. It was sketchy start as the wind was very West.
However the stalwarts had a go and then it was upsy downsymso I landed for lunch.
Took off without turning on FSH and didn't want to faff about as I needed to core the thermals.
Several setting off on XCs a reasonable day for some.

Report from Westbury White Horse (Bratten Camp)

   
A Wessex Posse made the journey to the famous Whitehorse at Westbury. It turned out rather well with some excellent thermic flying.
Jacek and Charles both there for the first time . It was clearly flyable as soon as we arrived and a good Briefing from Avon Coach Sean Simmons soon saw us airborne and climbing up to 3500'. I cannot recommend this Site too much a little busy but plenty of room and potential.
