Report from the Jurassic Coast

A buoyant day. With a Wessex Posse and others taking off and enjoying couple of flights down to Charmouth and back.
Much enjoyment was had by all in attendance appreciating a day in the sunshine.

Report from the Jurassic Coast

A frustrating wait as the wind was very W 2 brave souls attempted a beach T.O. to no avail. Then Tim O led the way when it came on.
It was easy to cross Hive and Freshwater but a bit of a scratch at the western end of West Bay with someone right behind me but the wind changed to SW and we cruised over Golden Cap and went down to Charmouth and beyond.
At Charmouth low cloud was accompanied by increasingly closer streaks on the water than it was cruise back to take off. A member of the public called the Coastguard as she had seen a PG over the sea but all was well apart from the Pilot going at -6 trim, he landed safely.

Report from Ringstead

A sneaky hour at Ringstead before it blew out! Several Pilots chancing it down to Lulworth and few back and forths but eventually the streaks appeared on the sea and it was time to land . All down safely.

Report from Ringstead

An early start for a Wessex Posse 0900hrs and straight to cliffs from T.O. it was. A bit on the strong side.
An easy transition over Lulworth and on to Gad Cliff then 3 onto Hound Tout but, I remained on Gad clifff Attempted to cross Kimmeridge. Bay to Clavells Tower 3 times but thought better of it. Glad I did as when the 3 returned 2 bombed just before Gad Cliff I then hovered and waited to see what would happen. One tried several times to get off and walked back to a higher point where he was successful the other walked backed to Kimmeridge. So I took the back ridge to the Dinosaur Museum by the village at Kimmeridge.
Landed safely and made a call . The soul who landed at Kimmeridge Bay could not manage the walk so I had to use all my charms to avoid paying £6 Toll Rd Fee to pick up the tired soul. Word of warning land above Kimmeridge Bay safely if you can to avoid your retrieve having to fork out £6.

Report from Ringstead

Ringstead to Kimmeridge Well and day of two halves with a Posse leaving Ringstead early doors and making Durlsten Head.
Whereas we spent the morning rigging 2 harnesses and repacking the reserves.
After lunch we sojourned down the coast from Ringstead to Kimmeridge with low cloud and low height.
The usual lifty bits were not lifty and the wind had shifted from SSW to SW so caution was required.
A big shout to Charles B for making his first run from Ringstead, we ended with a shandy at Clavells Pub.

Report from the Jurassic Coast

An exceptional day on the Jurassic Coast with super lifty conditions allowing views over Lyme Regis at one extreme and Portesham at the other. Good flying was had by all who turned up. Strange to see Pilots on the beach at Eype.
Going round Golden Cap was not the usual struggle and good height was gained there and at Thorncombe Beacon.
All in all 10 out of 10 for the flights.
